[Str1ngle]

This is a very fun game. I have no idea how I missed it till today. I like the simple gameplay mechanics, yet it is still challenging. It has appropriate graphics and the power ups all make sense. It feels well put together and has a nice chirping tune that meshes well with the gameplay. While this is nothing really ground breaking it is still very fun to waste a few moments with it.

Just an FYI: The reason I found your game today was because I was flagging abusive reviews, so I guess something positive came from that.

[NG Advent Calendar 2012]

I figured any flash that can make me come back for 25 days even when I am traveling deserves a review. This is defiantly an above average advent calendar. The design and graphics of your gadget is great. The layout makes sense and it contains nice extras, like a volume control for the music and a search for the art in the backgrounds. The technical parts are well done also. The fact that it runs off the server time instead of my system clock's time is a nice way to prevent cheating. Also nice job maintaining the gadget has well. Any problems that come up you address the same day. I'm also impressed by the way you kept up with the reviews and answer any questions people had.

Since the gadget is flawless and of high quality, this deserve top marks.

Finally, I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

Really that all you need in a game. Graphics were good for what it was and the gameplay was smooth. Sound was also good, not annoying, not empty either. overall I had a good feeling to it.

You hold true to your description, This is really fun to play. I'll take gameplay over violence or over-flashy graphics anyday. You really got to multitask while playing this game, everytime I lose it becasue I forget to make another ball. anyhow 9/10 for simple and ingenious!

[OOP Platformer Tutorial]

Ahhh.... useful

I remeber when I first tried making platform games, I had to find a little bit of everything from different sources, I couldn't copy-paste anything, and most tutorials said in order to give a facing left or right to use x_scale, which if a characters right was different from his left would be useless. In the end I had to learn basic code, and then I gave up... I was reading though your tutorials and I think I have new hope. Anyhow 10 out of 10. I also like the note-taking section... it was a good idea.

I never even actually thought about using the "_xscale" property to flip the clip around horizontally... but yeah, that seems kinds kludgy. Especially if your character has a word on his shirt or something! But you're absolutely right... the way I have set up the left/right turning lends itself very well to those being completely separate movie-clips. So that your character could, for instance, be wearing an eye-patch and it could show on the correct side regardless which way he was facing.

Glad you got something out of it! Especially since you seem to be one of the veterans of programming this type of game. Thanks for the review.

Fun Game

This game is pretty sweet: simple, fun, and lot of varitey. Great sound, good interactivity and much more.
